OPTICAL INSPECTION SYSTEMS
Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) is an automated visual inspection of electronic board manufacturing where a camera autonomously scans the device under test to detect both failures and quality defects .
It is commonly used in the manufacturing process as it is a non-contact testing method .
It can be used at many stages of the manufacturing process, including bare board inspection , solder paste inspection (SPI), solder joint inspection etc...
